About Us
The Bar-B-Q Man Restaurant began serving Texas-Style Bar-B-Q in 1977 under the guidance of Malcolm DeShields Sr. Through the years our 2.4 acre facility has grown to include a full service restaurant, bar, a party area, and beautiful Cantina patio with lots of shade trees and picnic tables.
All food is prepared on-premise and is supervised by the DeShields family in the same manner it was when food service first began in 1977.
For lunch or dinner, Monday through Friday, the Bar-B-Q Man Restaurant offers a large assortment of our own freshly smoked and barbequed meats.
The catering offered by the Bar-B-Q Man is capable of delivering a full meal for from 2 to almost 2,000 people, almost anywhere in South Texas
Our on-premise catering can usually be accommodated with as little as 12 hours notice (subject to availability of facilities and staff). Visit our Catering page for more information.
